After giving a genuine film with a mixture of humour, romance and friendship, Venkat Prabhu has come up with a thriller. But more than a thriller, he has added slapstick comedy which I have witnessed the best so far. A risky attempt which turned out to have a great response.

Technically I would rate the movie in a lower grade. Ameteurish at times with editing in the first half where the continuity lags. Switch over scenes were too much and the tool top message was a bit confusing the audience informing about the today, yesterday and the day before. The director could have avoided those confusing tool tip. It just diverts the attention. But the time tool tip was remarkable one and it reminds us a typical suspense thriller.

Cinematography was better in songs and good in scenes. Special mention to Dosth Bada Dosth, which was picturised well and moreover, the same cartoonish camera was handled even in this song just like Chennai 28. It was attractive for the viewers. Entire second half was made so realistic that the complete half was shot dark. We can agree that it's kind of portray a realistic effect, but certain scenes makes us search what happened to who or who said to whom[:o]

Music is apt for the movie and so as BGM. More than that the creativity of the director in this area is just mind blowing. He did the same in Chennai 28 especially in the scene where they lose their bat in the bet match, where Aboorva Sagodharagal theme music will be used or the Pottu Vaitha Malligai Mottu theme. Similarly Aayiram Thaamarai Mottukkale and few others golden hits used in this movie are just creativity at its best and its a laugh riot. As mentioned earlier, Dosth Bada Dosth is picturised well. Other songs weren't worth mentioning. I missed the item number from Nikitha [:(]

Screenplay is pretty dull in the first half. As I said, the switch over sequences were quite annoying in the first and later the audiences were in the same page which the director intended to convey. I personally did not like the climax and it was tamilish feel, probably it could have been done better and moreover, it was much predicatable to me. Direction was fantastic and a special kudos to the director for experimenting slapstick comedy in a thriller and more importantly in a most serious scene. Great job and worthy risk.

Each and everyone has done their role to their best. A tribute is given to the Chennai 28 cast and also the JODI NO:1 cast in a song, which was similar to OSO. Main leads, Shiva, SPB Charan, Vaibhav and Prem Ji were brilliant to the core. You cant separate them individually to praise them, they have done a neat job in carrying the expectation. Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Sampath and others also did their role to their fullest. I personally feel Jayaram was kinda childish acting towards the climax.
3:00:01 AM
Verdict : A must watch for a perfect entertainer.
P.S. : Later I came to know that it was a DvD Rip from the hollywood movie 'Judgement Day'. It's the slapstick comedy been added to taste the Indian audience and a few changes to the screenplay. Venkat prabhu, I hope I don't see him in TIC TAC DVD shop again :-P
