Ayudham Seivom - For Peace

Yet another story preaching Ahimsa. Sundar C following the same trend after the success of Thalainagaram, Veerappu and Sandai. Same get up, same character...WTF? Can he change?
Plot was already given. I am not gonna touch that. Moving to the characters Anjali, the Tamil MA fame, god damn, why did she start to expose. She aint looking good though! But she got a super dad. No match for the character The director has to seriously concentrate on this--
Vivek - Ultra duper Traffic Police, often director makes us remember that he is a police. He just keep irritating man. I lost the taste with his humour.
Other charactes include Napolean, Nazar, Manivannan...etc., They did for they paid for. No big surprise.
Music : Ok Ok kinda music, nothing great or better even. But the song sequences were irritating esp the duet numbers. Thanks to the director he didnt put a duet in the climax.
The plot was good, but you need seriousation with supporting incidents to stress or promote the plot.
Hero and others quickly changes to Ahimsa. The director seriously worked the climax to stun the audience, just like Pudhiya Geethai and Tamizhan but quite surprisingly EVERYONE (21) in the theatre were laughing.

Verdict : Ayudham Seivom....Inimelaavadhu Nalla Padam Seivom

Vallamai Thaaraayo - Yes! the audience def need one...

Plot : Newly married couple, where the bride was forced to marry, is not interested in the married life as she loves her childhood Maapilai and hence want to apply for divorce. They get divorced. Whether did they unite again or not? Thats the climax.

Dont tell me this plot is something similar to Mouna Raagam, its kinda. Had enought of it. The movie starts off with a dull pace. Poor lip sync in the beginning, dull BGM, pausing dialogue. I was seriously wondering if at all the movie kicks off. Came Parthiban. Surprisingly, Parthiban, well known for this mono dry humour, didnt work out in this film. I feel this role is not his piece of cake. Come on, He is Parthiban, give him roles in which he excels, not the roles of a supporting actor.
Chaya Singh...ah Jesus, she was almost 101% occupied in the screen. Better she sticks to a single item number in future.
Karunas handled the humour part. IT WAS ONE HELL OF A CORE. You got to have senses. How a person in earth would love those so called comedy. A very bad choice indeed.
Another person who irritates is Anand Raj. Whenever he comes, he used this punch "Naan Sandhoshama irundha adhigama pesuven, kovama irundha kammiya pesuvean". Audience endha alavukku kovam aavaangannu theriyumaa
In general, most of the characters in this movie has over acted.
One song is good, rest were Beedi. Nothing to talk about Photography or editing...they are just OK.
Dialogues : Very bad, I mean, not the actual dialogue, I had a feeling that there is a long pause often in rendering dialogue. Did they forgot or what?
Last 15 mins, Parthiban took over the control, the movie was kinda interesting with his slapstic comedy.

Verdict : Save your pocket money : Engalukku ellam Vallamai Thaarayoo

Dasavatharam - Another usual avathar

Plot : Butterfly effect. I am surprised to see a few who have discovered this butterfly effect. The story begins with Kamal's speech, where he mentions about the butterfly effect. I don't know how many noticed that. But yes, a layman will be not be able to understand this concept when it's not clearly defined.

Need to talk about Kamal. Master, a true Master, is what I would like to define. I am not surprised with the variation that Kamal portrayed in each and every character. The uniqueness, voice modulation, style and body language that was exhibited by Kamal, its just mindblowing. But I am not surprised as it comes so easy for the Master. Ofcourse he didnt disappoint us and will not in future.

I cant talk about the other cast involved in this movie as it was a clean sweap by the Master himself. Ofcourse, Asin, Mallika, MS Bhaskar, Nagesh, etc., are there. But Kamal stands tall before them, not only the 7 feet kamal rest 9 too . But MS Bhaskar's slang is simple superb. I read a few others review mentioning that the other cast could have utilized more, but when Master himself has occupied the arena, where is the place for the others to play the game.

Direction, KSR. Often we get reminded that he is the director. Again, Kamal has occupied in this place as well. But I guess he has handled well and I didnt find any KSR touch in this movie at all except for a few scenes where P Vasu will ask Pooraraghavan "Nee enna Ulaga Nayagana?" KSR touch.. You can feel there.

Screenplay is just ok in this movie. I wouldnt use the term racy screenplay. Its just good enough to keep you going. But the connectivity is not that great in the movie. It often lacks in coordination between scenes.

Something to talk about the dialogues, I am quite surprised and checked again if the dialogues were written by Kamal. Bcoz, I smell Crazy often when it comes to humour. Nothing to doubt as Crazy was almost a co companion in all Kamal's movie. I liked a few dialogues be it humour or serious conversation.

Cinematography is nothing great in the movie. I felt the stunt sequences were not shot well. Especially the bike chasing sequence was horribly shot. Moreover, its a big cast and massive sets. Its quite tough to shoot them. He could have opted someone else, my opinion though.

Songs were actually to good to see it in the big screen though not good to hear. BGM wasn't extra ordinary. May be as SRI said, we got to think about the time given to him. Both music and BGM should have handled by someone special. Wonder why he opted for HR.

The main part, Make up. 10 roles, out of which 8 roles with make up. Out of 8, 2 shined brilliantly well. Who are the two? Naidu and Vincent Pooraraghavan. It just fits them like a glove. Others YUCK. When they spend a huge amount why cant they bring in PRO in make up which is the most important aspect in this film. Kamal should seriously think about this. I loved Avvai Shanmugi's make up more than this movie. Even Indian was good.

Art is also just ok in this movie. But why didnt he explore the world. World is big, use it. To talk about the visual effects, Beginning and End were the areas where it was widely used. But still, not satisfying. A small boy sitting next to me was able to identify the graphics in the opening scene where Kamal was dumped into the ocean.
I do not bother about the collection or BO status, all I need is satisfaction. I am not completely satisfied with the movie. But no question of MISS, Watch it.

Verdict : Dasavatharam is just another avatharam
